About Chasen Shaw
Entrepreneur. DJ. Producer. Pilot. Performer. Professional Party Architect.

Let’s start with the truth: I didn’t just end up in events—I was born for them.

I’ve been performing since I was three. Whether it was a microphone, a piano, trombone, or a stage, I was all in. Theater kid. Singer. Musician. Performer. My first true love was the feeling in the room when people come alive. And from that moment on, my purpose was clear: bring people together in a way that actually means something.

At 12 years old, I started DJing (shoutout to my Tulsa radio DJ hustle), and by college, I began DJing private events throughout Oklahoma in 1999. That’s when things really took off. Soon, I wasn’t just spinning music—I was creating full-scale experiences. In 2001, I began planning sorority formals and socials—budget-tight, deadline-crazy, expectation-heavy events that taught me how to deliver under pressure and still keep it fun. Venue? Check. Security? Check. Food, buses, decor, entertainment, insurance? Check, check, check, check. Every semester meant a new group of social chairs and a new challenge to make magic from scratch. But somehow, we always pulled it off—and often with style.

Fast forward to 2009, and I officially launched PartyBox, our Oklahoma-based event production company. What started as a DJ-driven entertainment business grew into a full-fledged event agency. Today, we plan and produce everything in-house—from design to tech, talent to timelines. While we do bring in trusted partners when needed, the PartyBox team has become known for seamless production, collaborative energy, and a results-driven mindset that never forgets the people at the heart of every event.

Wedding PlannerI’m also a Certified Wedding Planner, a Registered Wedding Entertainment Director, and even a private pilot (because who doesn’t love flying themselves to a gig?). I’ve planned and produced weddings, milestone events, non-profit galas, foundation dinners, and corporate activations for clients like InBev, Coca-Cola, Lifetime Athletic, Devon Energy, the OKC Thunder, multiple tribal nations, and national foundations. Whether we’re working with a six-figure budget or getting scrappy with less, I know how to navigate the pressure, meet the moment, and make it look effortless. I’ve also served as master of ceremonies for hundreds of events and helped raised over $8.5 million for non-profit organizations over the last 20+ years.

But here’s the thing: I’m not just an event planner. I’m a meaning-maker.

Whether it’s a product launch, a cultural gala, a brand experience, or a 40th birthday party, I believe events are more than just logistics. They’re opportunities for people to connect, transform, and remember why they do what they do. That belief is what drives me. It’s what separates a checklist from a celebration. A timeline from a story. A party from an experience.

Party DJI’ve been doing this for over 30 years—not just as a DJ or a producer, but as a creative partner. I listen carefully. I learn what matters to my clients. I care deeply about how people feel when they walk into a room. And when I say I “get it,” I mean it: I’ve worn nearly every hat in this business, and I know how to move between the creative and the practical in real time.

That’s why my work still lights me up.

Yes, I’ve got awards and accolades. (It’s nice when people notice your work.) Yes, I’ve managed full-scale productions with national reach. And yes, I’ve built an agency that’s still standing strong after a decade and a half in a rapidly evolving industry. But what I’m proudest of? The people who keep coming back. The ones who say, “You made this feel easy,” or “I’ve never seen our team this connected,” or “You understood what I wanted before I did.” That’s the win.

Now, if you’re reading this, you might not be planning a wedding—and that’s great. This site was created specifically for clients planning high-impact, non-wedding events: corporate planners, foundations, institutions, and private hosts who want to create something with heart and clarity, not fluff and chaos.

My wedding and social event experience makes me nimble, fast-thinking, and pressure-proof. But my corporate and nonprofit work grounds me in structure, message, and big-picture impact. I’ve handled six-figure fundraisers, multi-day conferences, and internal brand activations that needed to impress board members and entertain a skeptical crowd—all in the same week. I get ROI. I understand stakeholder goals. And I know how to align creative vision with business outcomes.

So whether you’re producing a high-stakes awards gala, a regional team-building event, or an intimate client appreciation dinner, I bring three decades of experience, a rock-solid team, and the creativity of someone who still loves what he does. You won’t find ego here. Just focus, flexibility, and follow-through. Oh—and a little bit of fun, because I’ve learned that the best events have room to breathe.

The truth is, anyone can rent equipment or find a playlist. What you need is someone who can take your ideas—vague or detailed—and turn them into an event that feels effortless, intentional, and unforgettable. Someone who can manage moving parts, make quick calls, read the room, and still stay calm when things go sideways (because sometimes they do). That’s me. That’s what I do.

So if you’re looking for a producer with experience, heart, and the hustle to match, let’s talk. Whether you’re local to Oklahoma or hosting something across the globe, I’m here to help you create something that matters.

Let’s make your next event wildly successful, and make you look like a Rockstar!
